Who We Are
Habitat for Humanity Lake County (HFHLC) is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Established in 1989, the sole purpose of Habitat for Humanity Lake County is to provide safe, decent and affordable homes that hard-working, low-income families can call their very own.
Our mission
Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.
Our vision
A world where everyone has a decent place to live.
What We Do
There are endless ways to get involved with Habitat for Humanity Lake County that do not require you to lift a hammer while still providing affordable housing to our Partner Families in Lake County!
Habitat for Humanity Lake County partners with people in our community to help build or improve a place our Partner Families can call home. Partner Families help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. With your support, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and for their families.
Habitat for Humanity Lake County has provided homes for over 200 families in Lake County providing permanent housing for over 600 people. Habitat for Humanity Lake County also tithes 10% of our undesignated funds to build homes internationally. We have built over 300 homes in the Philippines housing over 1000 people.
Every night over 1700 people sleep in a safe, decent and affordable home through the efforts of Habitat for Humanity Lake County's volunteers, donors, partners, and staff.
With Volunteers like you Habitat for Humanity Lake County is able to put our mission into action and one day make our vision a reality. Thank you for serving alongside us and you continued support.
