Veterans Build

Who We Are

Habitat for Humanity Lake County (HFHLC) is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Established in 1989, the sole purpose of Habitat for Humanity Lake County is to provide safe, decent and affordable homes that hard-working, low-income families can call their very own.

Our mission

Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.

Our vision

A world where everyone has a decent place to live.

What We Do

At Habitat for Humanity Lake County, we believe that every veteran family deserves a decent place to call home. Our Veterans Build Program works to empower veterans through home ownership opportunities and camaraderie building events.
Habitat Lake County is actively addressing the lack of affordable housing by partnering with military service members, their families, and veterans to help build and repair affordable housing. Habitat Lake County's hand-up not a hand-out approach asks partner families to invest sweat-equity hours to build their home and volunteer with us.
