What: An amazing day of service! You will be working alongside our construction team on one of our construction projects which will soon be a future home for one of our partner families. Depending on what phase of construction we are in at the time projects could include painting, drywall, landscaping, flooring, siding, and so much more! We welcome all individuals who are 16 or older who would like to participate whether they have experience in construction or not. We will teach you all that you need to know and guide you through the day as needed.
What to wear: Volunteers should be prepared to work inside or out, rain or shine, to work hard & get dirty! This is a very hands-on volunteer experience. We strongly recommend work boots or gym shoes, jeans or sturdy pants, and t-shirts with sleeves. We do not allow sandals/open-toed shoes, dangly jewelry/scarves, attire expressing offensive, vulgar, and/or obscenities.
What to bring: We recommend bringing a water bottle, lunch (you can travel out into the community for lunch if you choose to), hat, bug spray and sunscreen.
*You may also bring gloves, safety glasses, and your own personal tools, if you wish. These items are not required.
Location: Will be updated soon!
